Okay. Admittedly, the title is a sort of ‘misnomer’. Technically, eternity is timelessness, so to ascribe time to eternity is a little ridiculous. But then, I think it’ll help buttress my point very nicely.
Let’s reason together. We could say 1000years is a long time – and we wouldn’t be wrong. Now imagine 10milleniums. Yes...that’s a really long time. To think that eternity is a longer ‘time’ than that, one would figure that we’d spend the time here to the fullest, gearing up for that period.
Cinema sized screen, very interesting film (say...Inception!) playing with surround sound and all. Sounds fun, doesn't it? Now, picture this in an examination hall. It would only make sense that one would close his eyes and ears to the whole thing and focus on his exam, wouldn't it?
Unfortunately the case with most of us is that since the film is really interesting (and the mischievous pranksters choose to serve sodas and popcorn to worsen matters), we drop our pens and sit back to enjoy the show.
So also do we live our lives - most times.
Hilarious, aint it? *chuckles*
