Despair's Tentacles

Seasons come, seasons go
Feelings come, feelings go
Traitorous soul, betray again
What to do, I don’t know

All around, just so bleak
Dark & gray sky at its peak
Feelings of sadness threaten to crush
Alone I sit as weeping begins

Any end to these moments of despair
Any end to these feelings of fear
Needing an answer. Tell me please do
Lose me from despair’s tentacles

Strength rises up from within
Wellspring of life, to action it leaps
I choose to stand, to wait and to be strong
Trials may come but I will overcome

Hope’s frame, seemingly fragile it is
Beckons to all, “hold on to me” it sings
I never fail, be patient with me
That you may be strong, all’s happening that is...

Eternity's time

Okay. Admittedly, the title is a sort of ‘misnomer’. Technically, eternity is timelessness, so to ascribe time to eternity is a little ridiculous. But then, I think it’ll help buttress my point very nicely.

Let’s reason together. We could say 1000years is a long time – and we wouldn’t be wrong. Now imagine 10milleniums. Yes...that’s a really long time. To think that eternity is a longer ‘time’ than that, one would figure that we’d spend the time here to the fullest, gearing up for that period.

Cinema sized screen, very interesting film (say...Inception!) playing with surround sound and all. Sounds fun, doesn't it? Now, picture this in an examination hall. It would only make sense that one would close his eyes and ears to the whole thing and focus on his exam, wouldn't it?

Unfortunately the case with most of us is that since the film is really interesting (and the mischievous pranksters choose to serve sodas and popcorn to worsen matters), we drop our pens and sit back to enjoy the show.

So also do we live our lives - most times.

Hilarious, aint it? *chuckles*

Peaceful turmoil

The ‘peace’ and ‘quiet’ within the darkness
What used to be home now seems just like madness
When or where it went I simply cannot say
Though still trying to decide on which side to sway
The voices, oh the voices, dominant they were
Dissolving like smoke driven before the wind fierce
She stands, disregarding the restraining chains
Her new found peace, the darkness has turned against
He used to be her lover, caressing and loving
His cruel attentions her twisted mind was enjoying
Alas, morning has come and light fills her mind
Not anymore! Her lover has taken flight
Dawn is here, the scent of change saturates the air
Her peaceful turmoil, finally terminated.
